Pilgrimages were made and salvation was found there, until neighbors complained about the crowds. The city probably didn't like that they weren't making an money on it, so they dug it up, and claimed they'd display it somewhere. They must've meant display it somewhere in some alderman's house, because it hasn't been seen since.
